Assistant Childcare Centre Manager

Buttercups is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Childcare Centre Manager to join our expanding Company at our Aberdeen St, Northbridge Centre.

About the role:

The Assistant Childcare Centre Manager will support and be directly mentored by the Centre Manager, preparing them to take on future management roles at Buttercups in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector. The Assistant Childcare Centre Manager will act as the Responsible Person whenever the Centre Manager is absent from the Centre, assuming responsibility for the day-to-day operation and administration ensuring the provision of high quality early childhood education and care to children and their families. The right person will also be required to be flexible in their full time working hours and be able to share the role of opening and closing of the Centre. They will also be responsible for a Room Leaders role within the Centre.

A thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework is essential and good leadership and mentoring skills is vital.

The position reports to the Centre’s Manager, who is responsible for overseeing the successful operation of the Centre and implementing the strategic direction set by the Executive Management

Qualifications

Mandatory requirements:

Relevant Qualifications as approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)
Current working with Children’s Card WA
Current Police Check WA or National
Held the position of Responsible Person

Highly desirable requirements:

QikKids /Xplor experience
Good computer skills
Food Safety Certificate
Early Childhood Teacher
Current First Aid/CPR/Asthma/Anaphylaxis certificate
