About Buttercups Bassendean

Welcome to Buttercups Childcare Bassendean! Conveniently located at the corner of Walter Road East and Mickleton Terrace, with easy access from Tonkin Highway and parking for drop-off and pick-up, we provide quality childcare for children aged 0-5 years.

Our centre supports your child’s academic, creative, and cognitive growth, with dedicated spaces for different age groups. We focus on nurturing relationships and creating a welcoming environment where children thrive and develop a love for learning.

Our experienced educators tailor programs to each child’s strengths, ensuring they have a great start in life.

Centre Manager

Kaya, my name is Melisa, and I am the Centre Manager here at Buttercups Bassendean.

I have been in the Early Education sector for 26 years. I worked in all age groups ranging from 0-12 years, before moving up into management positions as well as having the privilege of sharing my experience and knowledge with facilitating lectures. I have been part of the Buttercups team since November 2022. Stepping up into the role of Centre Manager here at Buttercups Bassendean in 2023, mentoring, supporting and nurturing my team.

The role that early childhood education plays in a young child’s life has always held a special place in my heart. We have opportunities to make big differences, from a baby taking their first steps to supporting families with toilet training and everything in between.

I enjoy building safe and secure relationships with families, children and educators and providing a ‘home away from home’ environment.

I look forward to showcasing how special Buttercups Bassendean is.
