Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), you must meet these requirements.

Be financially responsible
Care for your child 2 nights a fortnight
Meet immunisation requirements
Have a child under 13
Be an Australian resident
Use an approved provider

Additional Support

Some families may qualify for additional Child Care Subsidy support, including those facing hardship, returning to work, or caring for vulnerable children. Grandparents may also be eligible. Use our CCS calculator to explore these benefits and find out what support you may receive.

Get your Customer Reference Number (CRN)
Create an online account
Create a MyGov account
Complete the CCS assessment
Use our CCS calculator to estimate how much you could save.

Once processed, the Child Care Subsidy is paid directly to your childcare provider.
