Child Care Subsidy

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) helps make childcare more affordable. As an approved provider, Buttercups Childcare can lower your fees.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), you must meet these requirements:

  • Be financially responsible
  • Care for your child 2 nights a fortnight
  • Meet immunisation requirements
  • Have a child under 13
  • Be an Australian resident
  • Use an approved provider 

Additional Support

Some families may qualify for additional CCS support, including those facing hardship, returning to work, or caring for vulnerable children. Grandparents may also be eligible. Explore these benefits for full assistance.

How To Claim

To claim the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), you’ll need to apply through Centrelink.

  1. Get your Customer Reference Number (CRN) from Centrelink
  2. Create an online account
  3. Create a MyGov account
  4. Complete the CCS assessment and submit your claim online.
 

After your claim is processed, the subsidy will be paid directly to your childcare provider, reducing your fees.

This centre has been the best thing that has happened to my daughter. We started her care in early 2023 and she has developed so much in such a short span. At the start of my daughter’s care, I explained to the educators that my daughter was a COVID baby and is extremely anti-social. The educators worked really hard in incorporating peer play and updated me with all the wins and exercises they did. The educators and management team are simply excellent. I have no doubts that this is where I would send my 6 month old son too.

If you’re on the fence on which daycare to choose, pick Buttercups! I cannot rate this company highly enough. My daughter was in the Northbridge centre from the age of 7 months to 2 years and she would have stayed there until school if it wasn’t for me changing jobs and it being closer to my home. The staff are absolutely incredible and my little one has turned into such an independent, polite and social little girl and I put this down to the education and values here at Buttercups. The centre itself is beautifully organised, clean and homely! Would highly recommend!!
