NAIDOC Week Celebrations!

We wish to acknowledge the custodians of this land, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation and their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region.

Last week, Buttercups celebrated the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in Australia as part of NAIDOC Week celebrations – an opportunity to recognise how cultural diversity enhances our country and our society. The children loved being creative with Aboriginal art and craft experiences, music and stories, as well as learning the cultural significance of these experiences. NAIDOC week provides a great opportunity for Buttercups educators to enhance early learning in children about the long Aboriginal Australian history, the beautiful culture and the amazing achievements of Indigenous Australians.
