Time to celebrate – it’s National Families Week between the 15th and the 21st of May and this year’s motto is “Stronger Families, Stronger Communities”.
The aim of dedicating this week to families is to celebrate the vital role that families play in Australian society. Over a hundred thousand people get involved in hundreds of community events during this week in Australia’s biggest celebration of families in all their diversity. At Buttercups Childcare & Kindy we highly encourage parents and other family members to take part in this event by joining us for activities e.g. grandma coming in to read a story for the whole group, a mum or dad playing some music for us or cooking up a storm in our pretend kitchen!
